EVERY NEXT STEP, A LITTLE BETTER
Release notes.
What's changed, when it arrived, and the Chrome extension version that goes with it.
The extension version identifies the package associated with each service release. Chrome Web Store approval and publication happen separately.

KEEP YOUR GUIDANCE UP TO DATE
Update your Chrome extension
spotlights checks for updates when you open the builder. When Chrome has a newer version ready, a notice shows your installed version and the available version.
Installed from the Chrome Web Store?
Chrome updates spotlights automatically. If spotlights says an update is ready, finish recording or playing your tour, then restart Chrome to let it finish. Open spotlights again to see your installed version at the bottom of the builder.
To ask Chrome to check manually, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer mode, and select Update. Chrome controls availability and timing.
Using an unpacked development copy?
Replace your local extension files with the newer build, then select Reload for spotlights at chrome://extensions. Unpacked copies do not receive Store updates.
